I am Jovana Mihajlović, an attorney-at-law admitted to the Bar Association of Niš, Serbia. I advise companies on corporate, commercial and cross-border legal matters.

I have practised as an attorney since 2020, after seven years as a trainee attorney. I paused my practice for one year to work as in-house legal counsel for a German medical device company, and have continued to work with the MedTech sector as external counsel since 2025. That experience shaped how I work: close to the business, involved early and focused on what the team needs to close a deal safely.

I work with startups, founders, MedTech companies and international businesses. I help them structure their companies, prepare for investors, define their relationships with partners and distributors, and handle the legal questions that come with entering new markets.

My experience includes articles of association, term sheets, founder vesting and ESOP, preparing a company and its data room for investor due diligence, and helping set up a cross-border spin-off with an outside investor, where the structure had to work for the investor while protecting the parent company.

My advice is meant to be used. I write contracts and opinions in plain language, say what I would do in your position and explain the risk behind each option.
